POS Study 2012

The electronic cash register has long been the bread and butter for many solution providers, but in the past few years the point-of-sale system has transformed from a ubiquitous technology found at the front of most retail outlets to a powerhouse solution. Today’s POS can serve as an informational dissemination tool, a mobile payment terminal and a hub for business intelligence gathering. In the first annual POS Study, VSR interviewed end users and POS VARs to find out where they see the POS market heading and what technologies should be top of mind for solution providers.
