New ScanSource Services Group Expands Reseller Support Offerings
ScanSource announced the creation of its newest business unit, ScanSource Services Group (SSG). SSG focuses solely on the creation and implementation of unique and custom value-added support programs and services for ScanSource’s reseller partners. The Group manages a variety of affordable services resellers can utilize to extend their capabilities and increase their profits during their solution sale, including assessment, configuration, implementation, education and training, marketing, and partnership opportunities. From lead generation to equipment installation, ScanSource Services Group’s resources are a cost-efficient and time-saving complement to resellers’ businesses.
In support of that charter, SSG is pleased to announce several new offerings that will help resellers strengthen their business.
Expanded support of mobility solution configuration, integration and activation for the mobility devices resellers are selling today, including tablet devices, enabling them to stay at the forefront of technology solutions required by their customers.
Avaya IP Office R8.1 Custom Configuration – Resellers have access to complete configuration and integration for the newest IP Office release, enabling them to receive the product fully configured and integrated, along with the option of remote access to pre-program features and functionality prior to shipping, or ScanSource Services Group engineers can program the solution, based on customer specifications.
New marketing services, including the creation of on-demand video presentations for resellers to add to their web sites and co-brandable videos from ScanSource’s vendor partners, both of which allow resellers to professionally and creatively share their sales, training and solution knowledge to their end-user customers, while easily adding rich content to their marketing portfolio.
New training classes for resellers of Avaya Aura enterprise communications platform, including Avaya Aura Communication Manager Maintenance and Troubleshooting and Avaya Aura CM Advanced Features. These classes are held across the country on a weekly basis, with hundreds of partners already trained in 2012 alone. As a testament to its commitment to educating its partners, ScanSource, Inc. sales unit Catalyst Telecom was recently recognized by Avaya’s Learning Partner Program as having the “Highest Customer Satisfaction” rating.
Avaya Networking Enablement Program, which allows Avaya voice resellers not yet certified in Avaya data to build their data practice with the assistance of SSG’s design architects, system engineers and sales resources. SSG provides Avaya resellers with the support necessary to consult, design, sell and implement Avaya’s networking portfolio with little to no upfront investment in equipment, sales engineering resources or implementation teams.
ScanSource Services Group is led by Mike Burns, who was recently named President of the business unit, where he is responsible for the strategic direction and management of the group. Burns previously served as Vice President of ScanSource, Inc. from 2001 until 2012, where he led the Company’s OUI Managed Services business unit. Before joining ScanSource, he worked with Lucent Technologies and AT&T in various sales, training and leadership roles.
