Ingram Micro to Distribute eMobilePOS Software

By VSR Magazine

e-Nabler (www.eMobilePOS.com), creator of the mobile POS software eMobilePOS announced it has signed a U.S. distribution agreement with Ingram Micro (IngramMicro.com). Under the new agreement, Ingram Micro will distribute the eMobilePOS mobile point-of-sale software to channel partners in the U.S.

With the addition of the eMobilePOS, Ingram Micro is expanding its solutions portfolio for the retail and hospitality markets, providing a full-featured mobile POS solution that can be used as a stand-alone system by smaller merchants or fully integrated with Retail Pro, Microsoft RMS, QuickBooks, Sage, etc. Ingram Micro will offer bundled solutions that include eMobilePOS, running on a smartphone or tablet along with a broad selection of peripherals that have been certified to work seamlessly with eMobilePOS.

The software will be provided as a native app or as a cloud-based service and can easily be configurable for wide variety of market requirements. eMobilePOS supports Apple iOS 6 or higher and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or higher, and will soon be released for Windows 8.1.

"Teaming up with Ingram Micro, provides an opportunity to grow the eMobilePOS eco system and broaden the coverage in the U.S. market and beyond,” said Joel Vázquez, president of e-Nabler. “Ingram Micro gives us access to an extensive network of VARs as well as powerful marketing vehicles and a large support and sales infrastructure.”

“With eMobilePOS onboard, Ingram Micro can offer a full-featured and fully integrated mobile POS solution with support for all major platforms that enables VARs to quickly capitalize the growing mobile POS market,” said Carla Cicero, executive director, vendor management and sales, Data Capture / POS, Ingram Micro North America.

eMobilePOS will be demonstrated at the upcoming Ingram Micro partner conference, IMOne, May 6-10 in New Orleans. The demonstration will take place as part of the Data Capture/Point of Sales Solutions @ Work on Wednesday, May 7 through Friday, May 9, where eMobilePOS will be used to process sales in a candy store and a bakery.
