Ingram Micro Adds HID Global to Growing Physical Security Portfolio

Ingram Micro ( announced that HID Global’s secure identity solutions will now be available to the distributor’s U.S. channel partners through the Ingram Micro North America Physical Security Business Unit.

“As security threats become more complex, the business need for more advanced and highly integrated security solutions, such as secure identity, authentication management and access control, becomes increasingly more important and presents a growing business opportunity for channel partners specializing in this space,” says Tom Burns, director, Physical Security business unit, Ingram Micro North America. “HID Global complements Ingram Micro’s existing physical security portfolio and enables us to provide our channel partners access to the technology and solutions needed to address the market’s need for more intelligent, converged security solutions that are easily deployed and managed.”

HID Global’s portfolio features physical and logical access control including strong authentication and credential management, card printing and personalization, visitor management systems, highly secure government and citizen identification, and identification RFID technologies used in animal ID and industry and logistics applications. Government, financial services, corporate, education, retail and healthcare represent key markets for HID Global products.
