Honeywell Introduces New Rugged 2D Area-Imaging Device
Honeywell announced the launch of a new rugged handheld area-imaging device available for industrial and commercial enterprises: the Granit 191Xi handheld area-imaging scanner. Honeywell’s latest hand-held device combines high-performance scanning on a platform that can keep up with the most demanding conditions in the supply chain.
2D Area-Imaging is slated to grow at more than 15 percent per year through 2016 -- six points higher than the aggregate growth for all handheld scanners in the regions, according to a report from VDC Research Group. More manufacturers and logistics companies are adopting 2D area-imaging in the workflow, from warehousing to pharmaceutical distribution to parcel delivery.
Following the acquisitions of LXE and EMS Technologies in 2011, the Granit 191Xi further demonstrates Honeywell’s commitment to serving the warehouse and distribution applications with innovative technologies. Engineered with Adaptus Imaging Technology 6.0 and the TotalFreedom 2.0 development platform, the device is fully integrated with Honeywell deployment solutions. With Honeywell’s Remote MasterMind 3.0 device management software, businesses also can enroll and configure devices, track company assets and enforce strong password protection.
