At NRF 2013, Walmart waved the flag, with CEO Bill Simon promising the world's biggest retailer would boost its buying of U.S.-made products and pledging to employ armed forces veterans. Chico's shared its success with item-level RFID, RetailROI's Super Saturday raised $360K for a truly worthy cause, and Amazon, Crocs and Lululemon accepted honors from NRF. Over 27,000 attendees, including 5,600 visitors from more than 70 countries, and a trade show floor with 500 exhibitors made New York's Javits Center the place to be for retail this past week.
