ScanSource Communications Named Polycom Authorized Training Partner

— February 19, 2013

ScanSource Communications was named the first North American Authorized Training Partner for Polycom, a provider of open standards-based unified communications and collaboration (UC&C). The Authorized Training Partner program empowers select Polycom distributor partners, with a demonstrated expertise in the Polycom RealPresence Platform software infrastructure, to offer classes and trainings to certify reseller partners on Polycom RealPresence solutions. Through this designation, ScanSource Communications is able to rapidly expand its education and training offering for Polycom solutions.

The Authorized Training Partner program is a key initiative for ScanSource Services Group, which focuses on the creation and implementation of unique and custom value-added support programs and services for ScanSource’s reseller partners. As an Authorized Training Partner, ScanSource Communications can provide easy access to training and greater flexibility on scheduling and locations for resellers. These certifications are important for resellers looking to implement and support the Polycom solutions they sell.

ScanSource Communications’ Polycom-certified instructors will begin offering classes through the Polycom Global Education Network immediately. The first class is scheduled in February 2013 and will cover installation, configuration and troubleshooting for the Polycom RealPresence Platform, the industry’s most comprehensive software infrastructure for universal video collaboration.
