Datto Acquires Distribution Partner Paradeon Technologies

Datto, a provider of hardware-based on- and off-site backup, disaster recovery (BDR) and intelligent business continuity (IBC) solutions, announced the acquisition of Paradeon Technologies and further expansion into the UK and EU markets. Marking the first stop of an ongoing international expansion program, the UK site will include a dedicated office with sales, operations and marketing teams focused on the UK and broader EU sectors. Partners will gain access to enhanced UK-based technical support for the full suite of Datto devices and services, including RoundTrip drives. Furthermore, Datto is expanding its Partner training program and will offer Datto Academy classes at the Reading, Berkshire office. Datto UK’s cloud is based in the renowned Portsmouth PEER 1 Hosting Green Data Center, which conforms to European data protection and privacy laws.
 
Datto devices have been sold in the UK market for the last two years through distributor Paradeon Technologies, which is now officially Datto UK. In order to echo the success of Datto Inc. in the US, UK efforts will follow the same channel-only business model. Solutions will be resold through Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Value Added Resellers (VARs) and IT Service Providers to end-user businesses.
