Dean Cohagan began his career 8 years ago and is currently the Category Manager for Fresh, Grocery, Frozen and New Innovation at Duane Reade. With 260+ retail locations Dean has spent his time at Duane Reade developing new innovation for the company in their flagship locations as well as further developing the company’s extensive Fresh program. The fresh program focuses on many aspects in the industry including quality, freshness and variety. Dean implemented a new and innovative computer assisted ordering system that is specifically designed to deal with fresh products. This system has allowed for increased sales and decreased waste and Fresher product for his consumers.

Prior to joining Duane Reade Dean worked in the grocery industry for BI-LO LLC and Stop & Shop. He has held many position within the warehousing, store operations and supply chain fields. Dean has worked on many projects during his career including voice pick warehousing systems, loyalty programs and store ordering/inventory tracking systems.
